Goldstripe Weavers (Bambusa spp albostriata)

Goldstripe Weavers (Bambusa spp albostriata) is one of the most popular small bamboo species. Its upright growth habit and tight clumping nature, makes this bamboo a great screening plant in smaller gardens.

This species forms a dense, fairly erect clump of closely spaced light green culms with cream/white stripes. The exposed and leafless culms break into dense fine leaves as they climb and spread outwards. A handsome landscape or hedge species.

Cold tolerant and quick growing. Will grow in sun or shade in a wide range of reasonably drained soils. Drought tolerant once established.

This species is a good medium screening alternative to the Gracilis Slender Weaver bamboo.
