Bambusa multiplex cv "Alphonse Karr"
More erect than multiplex it has spectacular bright yellow culms striped with green. The young shoots and culms are a delicate green striped pink. The lower third remains relatively leafless presenting a tight fairly erect clump that bursts into a cap of fine distinctively arranged leaves.
